Willamette Valley Ballroom Dances Here is the September curated list of dances, also posted on the website blog, which you can bookmark.

There are 3 dances hosted by USA Dance (among other events - to come):

September 23: "Tea Dance," Upstairs at The Vet's Club, 1626 Willamette St., 5:30 - 7:30. No tea or lesson, just dancing classic ballroom steps to DJ music. All dance levels welcomed, no partner needed, dance shoes appreciated. $5 for non-members, $3 for members and students with ID.

September 28: Ballroom Dance Week Celebration, Gerlinger Hall on the UO Campus, 7:00 - 9:30. University St. opposite the EMU (Link to Google map) in conjunction with the UO Ballroom Dance Club. See demos of popular dances, meet dance instructors, fellow dancers. All dance levels welcomed, no partner needed, dance shoes appreciated. $5. Upstairs observation is free.

September 30: NBDW Closing Dance, Upstairs at the Vet's Club, 5:30 - 7:30, 626 Willamette St., Eugene. Free! All dance levels welcomed, no partner needed, dance shoes appreciated.

Tuesdays, September 4, 11, 18, 25: Rooster Blue’s Jam. Vet’s Club. 1626 Willamette. 7 pm. No cover.

Wednesdays, September 5 and 19: Jazz & Variety with Gus Russell & Paul Biondi. September 12 & 26, Michael Anderson and Friends. Vet’s Club. 1626 Willamette. 6 to 9 pm. No cover.

Wednesday, September 5 and continuing through the month: Round Dancing with your Favorite Ballroom Steps. Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West C St, Spfld. 7:45-9:00 p.m. $3 per person, drop-in. Ballroom dance sequences, mixers, and interesting choreographies. Fun, party atmosphere. Some dance experience helpful. Singles welcome. Wood floor, air-conditioning. Instructor: Sam Bucher. More info: Augusta @ 541-517-8976.

"Fusion" Squares (Square Dance) Mondays 7:45-9pm, $3 ID/$3.50 OD drop-in. Willamalane Adult Center. A mix of modern and traditional square dancing encompassing all levels and all lists with both traditional and unique formations and approaches. The class is fast paced and uses a variety of music. No experience or partner required. Drop-ins welcome.

International Folk Dance.Tuesdays 7:45-10pm. $3 at the door. Willamalane Adult Center.Weekly request dancing. No partner or experience necessary. Intermediate teaching by guest teachers on the first Tuesday of the month. Drop-ins welcome.

Thursdays, September 6, 13, 20, 27. (& every Thursday all year): Easy Money Dance Band at the Embers. 1811 State Hiway 99 N, Eugene. Talented musicians playing great music for dancing and listening! 8 to 11 pm. Free! Just buy a drink and or food . . .

Friday, September 7th: Swing Dance Club’s Monthly LlVE MUSIC Dance with The Hot Baked Goods. FIRST Live Music dance of the season! Lindy Hop & East Coast swing dance with beginner lesson. Ballroom at the Vet's Club 1626 Willamette St. in Eugene. No partner is required. Intro lesson at 7pm. Dance from 8pm - 10:30 p.m. Cover: $15 at the door. Saturdays, September 8 & 22: EFS Contra Dance. Village School (Dunn School) Gym, 3411 Willamette St, Eugene. 8th: Music by Treehouse, calling by Rich Goss. 7 p.m., beginning lesson. 22nd: Huckleberry Jam, calling by ? Dancing from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. $6-10, members; $8-10, non-members. No partner or experience necessary! Please bring soft soled shoes.

Sunday, September 9, USA Dance Ballroom Club Monthly Lesson/Dance: Eugene Vets Club Ballroom.1626 Willamette St. Two lessons again: Intermediate 5 to 6 p.m.; Beginning 6 to 7 p.m. Mark Baker will teach Fox Trot at both. Open dancing from 7- 9:30 pm. New price: members and full-time students, $7; non-members, $10. Open to the public! Info: www.eugeneballroom.org

Monday, September 10, West Coast Swing in Eugene will be hosting Michael Kielbasa. Vet’s Club, 1626 Willamette St. Michael will be teaching an advanced lesson ($12 and pre-registration required) from 6 to 7 p.m., a beginner-plus lesson from 7 to 8 p.m., open dancing from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Thursday, September 13: Last Dance for the Swing Dance at the Pub at Laurelwood Golf Course. They’re remodeling and request that we find another venue. Please help us find one! 2700 Columbia Street, Eugene. Free lesson in basic six count swing from 7-7:30 and then DJ swing music from 7:30 to 10:00. We play music from the late 1930's to early 1950's with an ear for danceable tunes. Free! Come and enjoy dinner before the dance.

Saturday, September 15: Early Registration Deadline for Laura and Robert’s Fall 2018 Dance Classes. Classes are Thursdays, October 11th to December 6th, 2018. Trinity United Methodist Church, 440 Maxwell Road. 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.: Beginning and Beyond Beginning: Cross Step Waltz and Swing. New Dancers learn the basics! Beyond Beginners learn new variations. 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.: Intermediate and Experienced: Cross Step Waltz. Experienced dancers who have the basics in Waltz (Bronze, Silver, Country or Viennese) will love this version of Waltz. If you have always wanted to learn “Silver” Standard Waltz – this is the class for you! Registration Deadline: September 22, 2018. $75 per person for each level of the 8 week classes by September 15. $80 after the 15th. Tuesday nights starting September 4th: LINDY HOP I: Beginning Lindy Hop Swing Dance Series Class. 4 week series class for people who want to learn 8 count Lindy Hop swing dance. No Partner required. Location: Salseros Dance Studio at the Vet's Club 1626 Willamette St. in Eugene. Time: Tuesday nights 7pm to 8pm. Registration for the month is $40 in advance. $45 at the door.

Tuesday nights starting September 4th. LINDY HOP II: Beginner- Intermediate Lindy Hop Swing Dance Series Class. 4 week series class for people who want to keep learning Lindy Hop swing dance and have taken our beginning class. Location: Salseros Dance Studio at the Vet's Club 1626 Willamette St. in Eugene. Time: Tuesday nights 8pm to 9pm. Registration for the month is $40 in advance. $45 at the door.

Wednesday nights starting September 5th: Charleston II: Intermediate Swing Dance Series Class. 4 week series class for people who want to take a high energy class to faster swing music! No Partner required. Location: Salseros Dance Studio at the Vet's Club 1626 Willamette St. in Eugene. Time: Wednesday nights 7pm to 8pm. Registration for the month is $40 in advance. $45 at the door.
