Willamette Valley Ballroom Dances for June 2018
We have transitioned the dance list to a new email provider and website: www.eugeneballroomdancelist.org. You will continue to receive the curated list of ballroom dance events and classes edited by me, Janice.
Important: notices of dances and events should continue to be sent to me at dance@janicepages.org.
Dance Floors and Shoes
A quick reminder that street shoes are not allowed in most dance venues to help protect the wood floors. Please wear clean shoes dedicated to dance. Many people prefer leather or suede-soled shoes for "smooth" ballroom and latin dances, except for Lindy Hop and East Coast Swing-type dancing.
Our Community of Dancers
I have recently noticed a drop in leads attending most if not all of area clubs dances. This is sad and disturbing. We followers want you to know we so appreciate your hard work and dedication in learning to guide us on the journey through a dance. It’s magical whether you’ve had a few lessons/practices or a lot. Please believe we don’t count the mistakes or missteps; we make enough of our own and understand how it feels.
Come to the dances and honor us as partners and the community we all represent. We’ll try harder to tell you how much we applaud your presence and participation.
